About us

Benjamin started as a computer scientist at IBM Switzerland and moved to the financial sector in 2006. He joined Ringier Digital Ventures right after its foundation in 2015. Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s degree in BA with a minor in accounting and controlling from ZHAW Winterthur and a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Hochschule Luzern.

Thomas is Partner at Marcau Partners. Prior to joining Marcau, Thomas was a VC at Redalpine, where worked on investments such as Taxfix, Inkitt, Carvolution and more. Before he worked in consulting, hedge funds and research. He holds an MSc in finance and is a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 24. Thomas is also Co-Founder and Board Member of S2S Ventures, Switzerland’s first student-run VC.

Thomas is a family man. He loves spending his free time in the mountains or surfing a mellow wave.

Thomas spent most of his career in the digital industry starting with his first internet project in 1996. As CEO of Ringier Digital and member of Ringier’s Group Executive Board he played a major role in Ringier’s digital transformation (incl. two «unicorns» Scout24 Switzerland and Jobcloud). Before joining Ringier, Thomas was a member of the Group Executive Board of PubliGroupe and held executive positions at Bertelsmann and Burda Digital Ventures (today’s Acton Capital). Thomas completed his studies with a master degree from the University St. Gallen (lic.oec. HSG) and executive education at Harvard Business School (PMD79).

Thuy-Linh is Associate at Marcau Partners. Prior to joining the team, Thuy-Linh was a strategy consultant for Monitor Deloitte working mostly with clients from the financial and healthcare industry. She previously also gained valuable experience in Impact Investment at Credit Suisse and in Private Equity at Flexstone Partners. Thuy-Linh holds a MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford.

Thuy-Linh loves spending her free time with family and friends, may it be together on ski slopes, hiking trails or simply around some good food and drinks.

Andrea is Analyst at Marcau Partners. Prior to joining the team, Andrea was part of the initial team of StartupGym, a new Italian venture studio, helping to build ventures in the FinTech, HrTech and Ho.Re.Ca. marketplace spaces. His passion and his experience with startups were born during his journey with Casavo, one of the biggest PropTech in Europe.

Andrea is really passionate about rock music and Italian food, while he loves spending the winter skiing in both the Italian and Swiss mountains.

Henrik is an Associate Marcau Partners. Prior to joining the team, Henrik was an investor with J12 Ventures, focusing on European pre-seed and seed stage companies within Data & AI. His previous experience also includes growth investing with NGP Capital, leading investor operations at Slush and advising established corporations with Carnegie Investment Bank.

Aside from work, Henrik can be found lifting incrementally heavier circles in the gym or slowly ascending and quickly descending mountain slopes.

David spent nearly a decade in the VC sector in various positions. Prior to Marcau Partners, David gained experience at EcoSystems Ventures (Silicon Valley), btov Partners and ZKB Startup-Finance. David holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from University of Applied Sciences in Chur.
